The Bachelor of Economics program seeks to equip students with an understanding of how economic systems operate and how people, businesses and governments react to changes in their economic environment. Graduates are prepared to pursue professional careers in the public or private sector, in research as well as to further studies in Economics or related fields.

The School of Economics, committing itself to academic excellence, offers two international programs, leading to a Bachelor's degree in economics (B Econ Program) and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, politics, and economics (BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program).

The academic programs are designed to allow students the flexibility to pursue specific interests and to work their way toward specific career goals, while providing a broad educational foundation to all. Because of limited enrolment, students can work closely with highly regarded faculty members, preparing themselves for careers in either the public or private sector or for research and further studies.
